Tytania formed in late 2003 in the small town of Morley, near Leeds. Using their influences such as Bon Jovi and Guns n Roses, they set out to bring their unique take on classic pop rock to the streets of Leeds.
The Tytania sound is created by five talented and diverse musicians, each bringing their own individual styles and experiences to the mix. Luke’s profound song writing and Adam’s classic lead guitar put the band in a league of their own. Equally, Richard and Luke’s breath taking vocal harmonies raise the band’s material to a standard that surpasses any regular rock act. Aiden’s uplifting drum beats and Tom’s solid bass complete the Tytania package.
Headlining in some of Leeds’ best venues and clubs, Tytania are progressively turning the music scene from the current ‘stripped down’ indie vibe to a more dynamic, classic sounding Rock. Critics have already described Tytania as, ‘a genre busting blast from the past, picking up where the late 80’s rock scene left off’’. Favouring classic valve amplifiers as appose to today’s synthetic electronic sounds, the band aim to take to new heights a genre that was cut short before it’s time.
After releasing their highly acclaimed EP, ‘Something to Remember’ at the start of 2006, Tytania have continued to develop both their sound and performance, enabling them to reach a level of professionalism rarely seen in unsigned bands.
Tytania are currently preparing to record there new EP, scheduled for release next year. In the meantime the band are playing a series of dates around the North as well as occasional shows in front of an ever growing audience, including a number of industry admirers.
Fuelled by passion, determination and pure focus, Tytania’s dedication and unbreakable kinship is proving to be a dominating force in the current Leeds music scene, and it is only a matter of time before Tytania achieve what they set out to do.
