ABOUT ADEL SPORTS AND SOCIAL CLUB

In 1928 Adel War Memorial Hall was built as a tribute to those who served in the Great War. This gave us a base for sports like Cricket and Snooker which had both been played in Adel since the 1870's. Additional buildings, land and sporting sections have been introduced since that date.

We now have eleven sporting sections offering a range of sports for all ages and abilities. Our junior sections are particularly strong providing a good safe introduction to organised sport.

We have a good social membership and have lounge bar facilities available to members. We also host groups like the Women's Institute, Bridge Clubs and Painting Clubs.

All our facilities are available for hire. These include a Function Hall (capacity 150) and several smaller rooms. We have many children's parties, dances, day time training events, weddings and fundraisers.

ADEL SPORTS AND SOCIAL CLUB IS BASED IN THE ADEL WAR MEMORIAL HALL

This is where you can enjoy a drink after the match or just call in for a social visit, or watch Sport on Sky TV. We sell the John Smith's and Samuel Smith's range of beers and lagers together with Foster's Lager and Boddington's Bitter plus guests beers. We also stock a large range of wines, spirits and soft drinks.

Throughout the year we hold highly enjoyable social events, and the weekly Prize Quiz each Thursday at 9.15pm is always well supported.
